Tiered Mutual Aid Assets

Each member agency can register resources available for local, regional or state-wide mutual aid. Using the sharing options, licensed agencies can work across the network to support mutual aid plans with other agencies by pre-sharing resources and updating resources during emergencies. Private (unshared) resources can be entered in the system by individual agencies for day-to-day management, tracking and maintenance.

Public / Private Infrastructure

An inventory of key public or private resources, such as radio towers, public notification sirens and fire hydrants, as well as critical infrastructure for road, water and wastewater systems can be maintained by any agency within the network. The system can map each resource to an address or the exact lat/long GPS point and provide the ability to track the current condition, maintenance plans and periodic inspections for each asset.

At-Risk Facility Registration

Registering at-risk facilities and vulnerable populations ensures they are included in emergency planning and exercises and can be given proper assistance during an emergency. These often include traditional high-risk CIKR facilities and may also include pre-school, childcare and adult daycare facilities, as well as senior housing and long term care facilities.

Private Sector Key Resources

Critical infrastructure groups and other private sector businesses can register and maintain their organizational information and key resources within the network. Whether a public or private sector registration, the system will map these agencies to provide information related to any specific need and provide 24/7 contact information for quick access to these resources.

Desktop Access to Resources

The i-INFO dashboard provides instant access to network information including; community directories, update links, communications, calendars, resource maps and other applications directly from the desktop — keeping authorized users connected to their information network. Administrators provide RSS feeds to distribute announcements and information via the gadget to users across their network or to specific agencies.

Integrated Resource Map / Search

During an emergency, resources can be quickly located using the map search function. These resources can be located by keyword search, classification, responsible agency, or any defined boundary. Summary and detailed information can be seen, including photos of the assets, specific attributes and lists of sub-assets, such as the equipment and supplies available on a response trailer. Multiple points of contact are provided based on the registered information for that agency and their jurisdiction.

Spontaneous Donations Management

As part of your preparedness plan, users can manage spontaneous volunteers, monetary donations and in-kind donations as part of an emergency response and recovery operation. Registries can be set to request specific needed items, then donated items can be monitored, verified and the registry changed as needs are met, reducing excess inventories and other problems associated with donations management.

Asset / Inventory Management

Authorized users can enter, maintain and share (or keep private) information about any type of asset, including facilities, vehicles/fleets, equipment and supplies. Use to maintain detailed asset records for in-service items, as well as reserve inventory or replacement items. This includes both the assignment of personnel to major assets, or the assignment of assets, such as radios, weapons and other equipment to specific personnel.

Maintenance / Inspection Tracking

Authorized users can track maintenance and inspection for any asset and sub-asset within the system. This can be used to manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for vehicles and equipment, as well as required inspections for buildings, vehicles, equipment and supplies. Reference drawings or inspection checklists can be maintained online within each asset record, as needed.

Asset Synchronization to Laptop

For asset management in warehouses or garages, or other areas in the field where Internet access is limited or unavailable, asset data can be entered into a program on a laptop and then automatically synchronized to the web based database, providing off-line access without double keying the information. The module also serves as a back-up to access resources during disasters when Internet access may be intermittent.

Online Damage Reporting

During and after disasters, damage reports can be gathered from across the impacted area. Information can be submitted via the internet or entered by a call-taker during periods when the internet may be unavailable to some residents. The damaged asset records can be automatically categorized, mapped and shared, as needed, with different responding groups allowing easy and immediate access for follow-up and reporting.

Damage Assessment Reporting

Records for these damaged assets can be synchronized to individual laptops allowing field personnel to initially perform window assessments and later add more detailed damage estimates directly into the database while at the location of the damage. If the Internet is inaccessible for any reason, the information can be stored on the personal computer, and then synchronized with the main database once Internet service is restored or available at another location.

Resource Funds Tracking

Users can track funding related to any asset. Agencies can track the funds by source, year, and type and can create reports for on internal assets or shared regional assets. This simplifies the collection and management of information related to grant purchased assets, including the assignment, location, history and current condition of these assets. Users also can track asset use and costs during response and recovery operations.
